Exploitation and use of Uvaterv Ltd. innovation results

Uvaterv Ltd. has developed in the recent past a support girder family FI-150 that – due to its modern parameters - can be applied efficiently at construction of bridge structures. In the frame of “New Széchenyi Plan” we keep on developing the innovation, for the realization a non-reimbursable subvention in an amount of 25 million HUF was granted to us by the tender KMOP-1.1.4-11/B-2011-013. In the present project our development colleagues are engaged in the extension of the invention results for a larger applicability..

The support girder family “FI-150/44.80” obtained the 1st prize the Tierney Lark Award funded by the English Institution of Engineers, Hungarian Engineer Chamber and Association of Hungarian Consulting Engineers and Architects, as well as the Innovation Prize 2010 of Intellectual Property National Office.

Control of the deformation during the first 100 days subsequent to the fabrication in order to ensure the quality control, optional delivery and appropriate taking over of quality

We can already show a lot of examples in Hungary for application of the bridge beam having unparalleled parameters in international scale too. However it became evident during the fabrication that - due to the unusual and uniquely large masses (56 T) and stretching forces (1000 T) - it is necessary to realize calculation models relating to further experiment results for the fabrication phase. The reason is that in the first 100 days after the fabrication the deformation is so important, considering the original state that we do not possess controlled, theoretic value in the moment of handing and taking over.
This problem renders difficult the quality control and the verification of quality. Therefore we considered necessary to elaborate a mathematic model that showed exactly the deformation of the first 100 days and controlled the hypothetical material behaviour. As a result, apart from the time of handing and taking over we can know exactly that the displacements measured at a given time are in the tolerance zone of the displacement function. This makes easier for constructors the appropriate taking over before use.

Elaboration of launching technology in great heights

The practice existing in Hungary did not require till now the elaboration of an installation technology above a height of 20 m. According to the market research there is a potential demand in foreign countries for construction of viaducts at great height using our innovative bridge beam. The economical elevation of approx. 60 tonne elevation weight is not realizable. However the developed technology renders possible to launch the bridge beam from the constructed embankment by an auxiliary structure led along the two side of the bridge and fixed to the top of the piers. As a result of this technological development the bridge beam can be applied in countries with different geographical conditions too.

Static controls and product amendments of product according to the Russian standards in order to sell product on the markets of CIS countries.

The CIS countries have an important market potential. As closure of our present innovation project we elaborate the tender documentation and adaptation documentation in accordance with the Russian GOST standards. Therefore we will have the possibility to sell the product on these markets.
