In order to serve the growing traffic demands, a new connecting taxiway section (TWY F) has been established at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport between the parallel Alpha and Bravo taxiways.
The new taxiway ensures the safe movement of aircrafts up to ICAO Category E (Boeing 777-300ER, B747-400) in all directions.
The investment required the modification of the existing district heating pipeline route and extensive electrical planning.
Due to the location of the taxiway, the construction was possible in two phases, closing one taxiway at each phase, for which organizational plans were prepared.
During the project we ensured the preparation of the following sectoral design works:
- geodesy, geotechnics
- airport design (pavements, markings)
- hydraulic engineering (rainwater drainage)
- power (airfield ground lighting, information signs, transformer station expansion, primary and secondary cable network)
- low current (communications and security)
- district heating line design
- organization
- structural engineering
