TERMINAL BUILDING 2/A BUDAPEST FERIHEGY AIRPORT

The new terminal building is located at the focal point of the runway system. At its final state of development the terminal will consist of three modules. The first module was completed at the first stage. Its handling capacity is 1 000 passenger/hour. Six aircraft bays are connected to the building. A two level landside facility is established in front of the terminal according to the separated arrival level and departure levels. The first module marked 2A of the Terminal consists of the main building, two annexes and interfaces connecting the former. The main building has three floors, while the annexes and the interfaces have four floors. There are 20 check-in counters, 16 passport control counters and four security-checking units for the departing passengers. Eight departure lounges are established in the transit area. Gangways are available for the passengers to provide access to the aircrafts in the bays on the near-apron.

From the arrival lounge the passenger can proceed through one of the twelve passport control posts to the luggage claim area. After collecting the luggage the passengers can walk to the arrival hall through one of the ten customs check points. Catering shops, drink bar, snack bar, coffee lounge and a terrace are available at the gallery of the departure hall. The various services are accommodated in the annexes.
