The central workers hostel of the Post-Office Administration Budapest was built in the 60's in Üllői street. The Client intended to reconstruct it in a way that would provide its use as a hotel. In addition to the reconstruction of the interior to high standard, the building had to meet the actual fire protection requirements, so the construction of a new, external, r.c. escape stair was necessary. The outside appearance of the building has not changed too much; only the entrances were formed in an emphasized way. The kitchen - canteen block is suitable to serve non-resident guests too. The most important part of the reconstruction was the complete modification of the interior and the installation engineering. The works were performed under intensive site supervision.
